I took the current build of Android v2.2 Froyo: BLAZN and updated the initrd.gz and the rootfs.img. After changing the keyboard-layout to “rhod100_de” by editing the startup.txt it was ready to go.
Because of the increased temperature i reduced the clock speed from ~710 MHz back down to its default value of 528MHz (acpuclock.oc_frq_khz=540672).
it works when the value of the registry key
AndroidBootFolderis set only to
andboot(Without quotation marks or slashes).
// string HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareGen.YDualBOOTAndroidBootFolder : "andboot" // dword HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareGen.YDualBOOTStorageBootMode : "1"
The MJGDroidutil seems only to work properly when the complete intallation is made in the root of the SD-card. Until this is fixed i’ll have to start the “haret.exe” manually.
Beside this and the fact that sound is missing et all (neither input nor output) and the Bluetooth and camera did not work in the current build it is quite usable even if you did not overclocking your device. i’m looking forward to updates and implementations of the missing hardware support.
I’m running Android a few days now and i’m quite satisfied with. In the meantime there where some fixes so it’s getting better and better.
things i’m still missing:
- Microphone Input
- Fix for the too large buttons in some setting menus
- NAND installation
currently i have some problems to get the application “adb wireless” to work. if you have some experience or tips please leave a comment.
